Did you know the more air you add to a bubble mixture, the more bubbles you’ll make? When these mirumiru all join together you get foam, which makes for fantastic sensory play!

Make your own bubble foam at home for some fun sensory play!

Our method works great when prepared in-advance for bath time or outdoor play, and the colour of your foam is easily customisable making it an activity you can do over and over again!

Activity Instructions:

Prep Time: 5 minutes of preparation; hours of fun

Skill Level: Easy

You Will Need:

  • Food colouring or paint
  • A medium-sized container or bucket
  • An electric beater
  • Bubble mixture

Step One:

Add your bubble mixture and paint to a medium-sized container for ease-of-mixing- your foam can be decanted into a larger container for play later.

We found food colouring works the best, but here we’re using paint.

Store-bought or homemade bubble mixture is fine! Click here for our home-made bubble mixture recipe.

Step Two:

Whisk your bubble mixture on high speed for 2-3 minutes until you reach foam-consistency!

Step Three:

Have fun! Your bubble foam is complete. The foam will last for 1-2 hours, and disappears quickly under boiling-hot water, making for an easy clean-up.
