Dating from the 1920’s, these sensitive laboratory scales were used by the Wellington Seed Testing Station. Established by the New Zealand Government around 1911, this organisation was tasked with ensuring seeds entering New Zealand were of high-quality, to ensure production and export of agricultural goods remained high-end.
An instrument of the highest quality and precision for its time, the scales and accompanying brass weights are stored in a wood and glass protective case.
